Sack of 1,000 Support Workers: Labour Union Pickets Heritage Bank

The National Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions Employees (NUBIFE), on Thursday, picketed the Victoria Island, Lagos, headquarters of Heritage Bank over the sack of 1, 000 support workers.

The union’s National President, Comrade Anthony Abakpa, said during the protest the leadership of the bank did not follow due process before taking the action.

He vowed that the union would intensify its demands for justice, calling on the bank’s management to do the needful.
